The Fabric Decoration Holiday Bootcamp is an exciting, hands-on creative arts training where children discover how ordinary pieces of fabric can be transformed into colourful, beautiful and useful works of art. Through fun practical activities, learners explore techniques such as tie-dye, fabric painting, printing, stamping, stenciling, appliqué and simple fabric embellishment while developing creativity, confidence, patience and an entrepreneurial mindset.
What Will Students Learn?
During the Fabric Decoration Holiday Bootcamp, students will develop practical skills through fun, creative, hands-on activities:
- Introduction to Fabric Decoration – Understand fabric decoration, its uses, and its role in creative arts.
- Types of Fabrics – Identify different fabrics and learn which decoration techniques work best with each.
- Colour & Design – Explore colour mixing, colour combinations, patterns, shapes and creative design.
- Fabric Painting – Learn basic painting techniques and create colourful designs on fabric.
- Tie-Dye – Learn simple folding, tying, dyeing and pattern-making techniques.
- Block & Stencil Printing – Create repeated patterns using simple blocks, stamps and stencils.
- Fabric Embellishment – Decorate fabrics using beads, buttons, ribbons, threads and other materials.
